The spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has seduced the romanian public with the colour explosion and different shapes. Her new collection “pret-á-porter” spring/summer 2009 is titled “Incredible nice” and it was presented in Trade World square of Bucarest, after the success in Madrid, Paris, Milan and New York.

AGATHA IN LONDON!

Agatha was in London to support the city of Madrid in the project of christmas lightening. There was a cocktail in the Victoria and Albert museum for the promotion of the spanish city .

AGATHA in ALBANIA

A creation by Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada displayed on Saturday, the second day of Albania Fashion Week, in Tirana. Designers from Albania, Croatia, Turkey, Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Spain, Serbia, the UK, Kosovo and Greece are participating.

AGATHA DESIGN FOR MINNIE MOUSE

Prêt á Porter París celebrated an exposition for the 80 anniversary of Minnie Mouse.
This event brought together the best designers of the world, like Ágata Ruiz de la Prada, Christian Lacroix, Paco Rabanne, Paule Ka, Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Bensimon, Cacharel, Comptoir des Cotonniers... to design clothes and dress little Minnie Mouse dolls. After the exhibition of the designs in Tokio, New York, Milán, París, Geneva and Berlín, these 80 dolls where sold at Christie’s to collect money for the Maison de solenn ONG. Agatha’s Minnie Mouse was sold for 2000euros.

AGATHA'S SHOW IN DFASHION (MEXICO)

Agatha participated in DFashion, the famous fashion show in Mexico, where 40 of her meninas paraded in honor of the painter Diego Velázquez.
“For me it was very important making this retrospective show in Mexico to make people know my work and there’s nothing that represents me in my career as the meninas” says the deesigner.

AGATHA in MILAN FASHION WEEK

This year Agatha Ruiz de la Prada presents her collection in Milan Fashion Week spring-summer 2009, inspirated in the “meninas” of the spanish painter, Velázquez.
Few minutes after the show started, the english comedian Sacha Baron Cohen -actor de 'Borat'- burst onto catwalk until the designer ordered to turn off the lights and police arrested him.
Agatha Ruiz de la Prada’s offer for this season is a collection full of voluptous shapes with folkloric complements as spanish combs and fans, always full of colours as usual in her designs.

AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA FRAGANCES AWARDS

Tania Ruiz Becerra, student of Liceo Edwards (Santiago de Chile), recieved the AGATHA RUIZ DE LA PRADA AWARD for her painting inspirated in the designer fragance called Beso.
The prize included a free flight to Madrid, where Agatha Ruiz de la Prada recieved Tania and her teacher, showed them her design studio and brought them to Pasarela Cibeles FASHION WEEK to watch her show.

AGATHA IN MADRID FASHION WEEK AUTUMN (CIBELE'S SHOW)

One more season Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has participated in Madrid Fashion Week autumn/summer 2009. The show was inspirated in Agatha's recycling philosofy, always adapted to her world full of life and colour.
In this new collection Agatha Ruiz de la Prada uses more colors than ever, showing asymmetric models, extremely short garments combined with all kind of complements; long tunics, coloured helmets, high heeled trainers, metallic handbags and spectacular heroin sunglasses!

Agatha was in Paris to participate in the 16th edition of MAISON&OBJET. One more year we can see Agatha Ruiz de la Prada towels, sheets and other accessories accesorios for the house by the trade HIERBA.

AGATHA in ANTIOQUIA MUSEUM OF MEDELLIN, COLOMBIA

(June 10 - August 30)
Agatha Ruiz de la Prada showed a collection of 60 dresses and other designs of her , in the show "Arte y/o Moda" (Art and/or Fashion) in the Antioquia Museum of Medellin, Colombia.

AGATHA'S SHOW in ALMAGRO

In the International Theatre Festival of Almagro Agatha Ruiz de la Prada presented a show about "Fashion and Classics".
Her work was inspirated in the play "LA DAMA BOBA", written by Lope de Vega in 1613.
In 1998, REPLIKA company opened the play in REINA VICTORIA THEATRE of Madrid, directed by Jaroslow Bielski.
The set design as the wardrobe were all designed by Agatha.

AGATHA IN PITTI SHOW

Agatha places her new collection Spring/Summer 2009 in an atmosphere that cares about the deterioration of the Nature.
Therefore the children walked down the catwalk between cubes of refusal materials wearing originals hair band inspired in recycle. Here paper pieces appear, broken off pens, balls, tapes, buttons, plastic boxes... Everything is recycled and these useless objects become amusing crowns on the girls little heads as a modern remake of the Statue of the Freedom.

AGATHA in SOHO NEW YORK

Agatha, with other great spanish fashion designers as Devota&Lomba, Jesús del Pozo, David Delfín, Duyos, Ailanto, Miguel Palacio y Roberto Verino,etc, (all of them belonging to the ACME, Asociación de Creadores Moda de España) present in the New York Soho a selection of their best work shown in Pasarela Cibeles.

AGATHA'S RETROSPECTIVE in COLOMBIA

Agatha’s retrospective collection is going to be in Antioquia Museum (Colombia) until the August 24th.
She assures that art and fashion are more merged than ever before, that's why now it's common to see fashion in museums and artists working on the body and dresses.
The same retrospective collection has been from 1998 in several museums of Europe such as Reina Sofia, IVAM and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bordeaux.

Agatha travelled to New York and participated in the Licensing Show 2008, which is only one Licensing International Expo, the world’s brand and property marketplace.

AGATHA in AGUASCALIENTES

Agatha travelled in Mexico for her show in UNIMODAA 2008. It was in the Universidad Autónoma of Aguascalientes, where Agatha and the head of this university signed up an agreement for the students to be given training, geographic mobility and professional consultancy from Agatha Ruiz de la Prada company.

In May 17 Agatha presented her autumn/winter collection in Rumania participating in the third edition of the Craiova Fashion Show Event.

NUPTIAL FASHION WEEK

This year Agatha participated again in the Nuptial Fashion Week´s Show in Madrid.

Agatha took part in the JCDecaux Exterior Advertisement awards with other spanish artists like Cayetana Guillén Cuervo and Gabino Diego. After the presentation there was a surprise for the guests, a big party with the performance of Fangoria.

Now Agatha has designed the glass collection for this spanish brand. To celebrate this project we had the sweetest Nocilla brakfast in the Petit Palace Hotel of Madrid.

For the first time, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has designed jewels in
gold and diamonds.
The presentation of the project was in the Casino of Madrid, where
the most of the audience were amazed by the way to exhibit these
original jewels like by the own desings of the jewels. It was a great
success.

AGATHA in the beneficial fashion show in PLASENCIA

Last Saturday Agatha Ruiz de la Prada conquered with her style
the enclosure of Torre Lucía, the catwalk of Plasencia in a
beneficial fashion show to collect economic aid with associations
of the local coordinator of health.
It was the mission trusted to the multicolor and peculiar army of 77
models amateurs, children, adolescents and young people who
showed this summer´s collection.
Agatha Ruíz de la Prada directed the playful operation, it was a
great success.
Hundreds of people were witnesses and they loved to contribute
to the beneficial cause of the parade.

AGATHA and her NEW CARPET COLLECTION

Agatha Ruiz de la Prada presented yesterday in the International Furniture Fair in Madrid her new collection of carpets. The company from Zaragoza AB21(www.ab21.es) has been the charge to make the proposals of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. The Spanish designer has proposed original and amused designs made with natural materials. The presentation was a great success and the designer emphasized for the colours and the vitality that characterizes her, she is always taking care the environment.

AGATHA in SHANGHAI FORUM

The 18th and 19th of April, the CEIBS (China Europe International Business School), the IESE and the Fondazion Italia Cina organized the first Luxury Brand´s Forum Annual, where Agatha Ruíz de la Prada was an interesting lecture about fashion and her design´s philosophy.
Very important people of the fashion world where there, like Cesar Romitti (President of the Association Italy and China), Paolo Zegna, Boselli (President of the Italian Fashion´s Chamber), Salvador and RosaTous, Covadonga O´Shea and Michel Chevalier, later all of them were to the spectacular party that Agatha celebrated in the Hotel Hyatti.

AGATHA in CASA DECOR

Casa Decor is the most important interior design exhibition in Europe which is held annually in Madrid, Barcelona, Lisboa, London, Milan, Miami and other countries.
Agatha Ruiz de la Prada has participated in this fair with the funniest stand, giving the colour strokebrush and showing different ways decorating a living space.
Agatha makes her stand a catalogue of new materials and suggestions for those interested in putting some colour into their lifes.

8 APRIL_AGATHA and KAPITAL AWARDS

The Kapital Theatre of Madrid delivered the Kapital´s Awards 2008 in its Sixth Edition. Important personalities of the world of culture, sports and communication gave appointment in the theatre.
Some of the rewarded were Lolita Flores´ daughter, Elena Furiase (actress in “El internado”), Agatha Ruíz de la Prada, the Real Madrid football player Sergio Ramos and the actor Toni Canto.

APRIL_AGATHA and her SUNGLASSES COLLECTION

The most importants Spanish’s Fashion Creators joined in this new event for present their new sunglasses´ collections for the new season 2008.
Some of them were Agatha Ruíz de la Prada, Modesto Lomba (president of the Asotiation of Fashion Creators from Spain), Adolfo Dominguez, Armand Basi and Roberto Verino.

1 MARCH - 4 APRIL_AGATHA 12 SUITS FOR CHINA

The Spanish Association of Fashion Creators in collaboration with the ICEX and the Cervantes Institute, present in Beijing the original exposition “12 suits for China”, that joins mode and literature with the objective of awakening the Chinese reader’s curiosity about our culture.
The most important Spanish’s Designer like Agatha Ruíz de la Prada, Vitorio & Lucchino, Devota y Lomba and David Delfín, have Interpreted on free style 12 wonderful texts of Gabriel García Marquez, Miguel Delibes and more important authors of the Spanish Literature. Agatha Ruíz de la Prada represented a magnificent Alvaro Mutis´s text, standing out the colour of his prose in an emphasized design that gave the exposition of vitality and energy.

5 MARCH_AGATHA in FITUR

Agatha Ruíz de la Prada stands out with her stewardess’s designs of the Community of Madrid, in the FITUR Tourism Fair. Santiago Fisas, Culture and Tourism’s Counsellor received the originality and functionality of the project’s prize, with the Best Regional Stand’s 2008 Award.

4 MARCH_AGATHA in MILAN FASHION WEEK

As usual in the annual Milan Fashion Week, Agatha Ruíz de la Prada exhibited her women’s collection autumn/winter 2008-09 full of colours and life.
With the essence that so much characterizes her in the Fashion World, Agatha has created a collection more accessible to the public.
This time Agatha proposes dull colors, at least more than usual, making this collection easier to wear for everyone, as we can see in the picture above.

25 FEBRUARY_AGATHA discussing about INFANTILE OBESITY

The 14th of February Pilar Cernuda moderated in the Hotel Occidental Miguel Angel the discussion about the infantile obesity.
Agatha Ruíz de la Prada was there with Coloman Trabado (800´s metres World Champion), Doctor Basilio Moreno (Boss of the Obesity’s Department in the Gregorio Marañon´s Hospital), Felix lobo (Spanish Agency of Security Nutritional´s President and Univ professor in the Universities of New York and Berkeley) and Ricardo Martí Fluxá (Institute Tomás Pascual´s President).
Agatha talk about the influence that the Fashion can have in the children’s and she emphasize the importance that we need to give to the design to combat the infantile obesity in all its senses… like for example, to present funnies and attractive healthy dish to the children.

11-15 FEBRUARY_AGATHA in CIBELES

The next Agatha's winter comes very sofisticated and less urban.
Patent leather boots, thick tights, mini skirts and mini shorts knitted with natural tissues emphazises in the new designer's collection.
As we all know Agatha Ruiz de la Prada is such a different and modern designer but at the same time we could see in the show a few brushstrokes of classic elegance. Many models weared wild silk jackets in huge and stripped volumes.
Agatha's opening Cibeles show was early in the morning but it was full of people enjoying the techno rithms.
We could see in front row, as usual in Agatha's shows, Covadonga O'Shea, Simoneta Gómez Acebo, Pedro J. Ramirez.

22 FEBRUARY_ AGATHA and MADRID SHOPPING GUIDE

The Economy’s Government Counsellor of Madrid’s City Council, Miguel Angel Villanueva launched the Tuesday 19th of February the new guide Madrid Shopping Guide. Presently it’s working in lot of hotels and tourist centres in town.
Agatha Ruíz de la Prada exhibits some of her products, also there are from Lladró, Carolina Herrera, Loewe and Bottega Venetta.

14 FEBRUARY_AGATHA and METRO

The 14th of February didn't lack hearts in the "Metro" news since Agatha redesigned the gratuitous newspaper, giving in the touch of color the day required. Readers of Madrid, Paris, New York, Shanghai, Mexico DF and many more cities around the world could enjoy this special edition of "Metro", a newspaper necer previously made by another designer.
